A Hard Frost
This morning we woke to the sparking white glaze of a hard frost over our grass and other plants. Late autumn is here and the end of the 2025 market season is Thursday. There is still so much to accomplish before the heavy frost gives way to blankets of snow. Preparation for spring begins now as the pace of the year begins to slow; last minute projects to put our best foot forward in the spring. As Market Season Winds Down...
As market season winds down, I find myself in the curious position of trying to continue giving my attention to the rest of this year while trying to balance the ideas and plans for next year. That's the truth of being a small business owner. It never actually stops. While I continue to bake loaves for my loyal customers through the end of October, I think about how I want my enterprise to grow and what my goals will be when I meet up again with them in May of 2026.
